Twitter plans on live streaming the 74th annual Golden Globes red carpet this year. The stream will happen from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT on Sunday, Jan. 8 on the red carpet, featuring exclusive interviews with celebrities.

The awards show itself will not be streamed, but the red carpet streaming gives Twitter users a chance to get involved. Twitter will collaborate with the Hollywood Foreign Press to source questions from fans’ tweets.  Twitter asks fans to use the hashtag #AskGlobes to hear questions being answered.

The stream will be available with or without a Twitter account. Twitter uses can watch the stream via Twitter’s “Moments” and non-Twitter users can go to

This is part of a trend from Twitter to gain more users through providing coverage of live-streamed events, such as last year’s NFL games or the Republican and Democratic National Convention coverage.
