With YouTube’s new update, users can skip a video forward or backward by 10 seconds by double-tapping on the left or right side of your screen, reports TNW.

The new feature’s launch was relatively quiet, with no mention on their Twitter page or app update messages for IOS. Various users such as users on Reddit forums found it accidentally.

Mashable also noticed that when you mouse over some YouTube thumbnails, display images of the video show in short loops like in a gif. YouTube in its early years had a similar gif option for users’ Avatars.

For impatient viewers, this fast-forward feature might come in handy, whereas some other users have already taken issue with the update.
