Twitter’s “Twitter Safety” page tweeted that users wouldn’t receive notifications when they are added to a list.

However, tweets came in objecting to the update.

Around two hours later, Twitter pulled back.

While it only took Twitter two hours, it took Yik Yak months of complaints to finally make their “handles” (usernames) optional again.
