Anonymous hackers say they have hacked more than 72,000 smart TV devices and that over 65,000 of these devices were forced to play a video.

The hacked video informs victims that their device is “exposing sensitive information about you” while also telling them to subscribe to PewDiePie.

The hackers, only known as @HackerGiraffe and @J3ws3r, also claimed responsibility for #PrinterHack, which was a hack of tens of thousands of printers worldwide promoting PewDiePie.

Their website also features a FAQ section. Under “What do you want?” They respond:

“Well, fix your device first. Also subscribe to PewDiePie on YouTube! Also Pyrocynical, Dolan Dark and grandayy. Don’t forget good ol’ Keemstar!”

PewDiePie had a short response on Twitter regarding the story:
